The American
Four Square was a popular housing style from 1895 through the 1930s.
The foursquare is typically a two-and-a-half story house on a full
basement, with a monitor dormer in the attic. Most Four Squares
have hip roofs coming to a peak in the center, like a pyramid.
A front porch spans the full width of the house, with simple columns
supporting the porch roof. |
